I see this plant is the recessed areas of Powdermills Park in Pittsford, NY punctuating the landscape with its candelabra form. This is not a plant that likes to be massed in multiples - it tends to operate as single mass punctuating the landscape and is commonly covered with small native bees. The Dutch Designer Piet Oudolf uses this plant masterfully if you are interested, look up his plantings with it but lucky for us it us native here so not just visually novel but has high ecological benefit in the landscape.
